Boerboels in the UK are often not dogs that your average vets are familiar with. Whilst specialist vets are not needed generally, a vet experienced with large breeds and mastiffs are better suited to Boerboel care and treatment.
Boerboels should be exposed and familiarised with vet type handling and procedures at a young age. A good Boerboel breeder will have already carried out basic vet type assessments from the pups birth in order to monitor its health.
At Aisha Boerboels, we monitor and record all stages of our boerboel puppies. This involves weighing, handling and health checks that are very similar to those carried out by vets.

Once your new, cute and fluffy boerboel pup comes home, this behaviour and socialisation training needs to be continued by the new owner. When your cute and fluffy boerboel puppy is 80kg is not the time to try and introduce the first vet visit or health check.
In the UK, the South African Boerboel is still a very rarely seen dog and the black boerboel variant even more so.
Following the black boerboel being accepted as a breed standard again, Aisha Boerboels have had a number of black boerboel litters and black boerboel puppies for sale.
These pups are not available. Any of our litters of black boerboel pups are booked up an reserved way in advance.
